Medical billing software for billing companies
This is the system our billing team uses. Billing companies can ask for early access. There is no public price yet. Practices that hire MedFlow to bill for them do not need to license it.
Scheduling
Appointments by clinic and provider, with a visit status the coder and the biller can see.
Eligibility
A worklist of visits that still need a check, and an electronic inquiry through the clearinghouse when that connection is turned on.
Prior authorization
A worklist of requests: needed, submitted, approved or denied, with the approval number kept for the claim.
Coding assistant
Suggestions from the note using the CMS ICD-10-CM list, checked against NCCI edits. A coder accepts or changes every code. The sentence that supports each code is on the screen.
Claims
A scrubber before the file goes out, then electronic claim submission. Rejections come back onto the same claim.
835 posting
Electronic remittances post to the claim: paid amounts, adjustments and denials, instead of a hand-keyed explanation of benefits.
Denials
Each denial is a reason code with a next step: fix and resubmit, ask the clinic, appeal, or bill the patient.
Patient statements and online payments
Statements for the balance after insurance, and a payment link. Card charges go through Stripe when the account is connected.
Reports
Clean claim rate, denial rate, days in A/R, net collection and aging. The definitions are on the report, not hidden in a footnote.
Audit log
An append-only record of sign-ins and of who viewed or changed a patient. Owners can export it. Rows are not edited or deleted by the app.
Ask for early access
Tell us about the billing company. Do not include patient information.
